My beautiful fatherland was called 'The Lamp of the East' 수동태, 인도시인 '타골'의 싯귀
일찌기 '동방의 등불'이라고 불리웠던 아름다운 내 조국.
My God, why did You capture us and bless us?

하나님, 하나님께서는 어찌하여 저희들을 붙들어 주시고 이토록 축복하셨나이까?
My Korea is but a small country compared to others, * but=only , 비교할 때

우리나라 대한민국은 천연자원도 변변치 못하고 다른 나라와 비교해 볼 때 보잘 것 없는 작은 나라입니다.

Now we have electric home appliances, and leading steel manufacturers.

semiconductors, widespread internet access, oil probe ships,

human resources with a great zeal for education,
교육에 굉장한 열의를 가진 인적 자원도 우리는 있습니다.
the world's finest shipbuilding technology in a country now considered world class.

We built a 160-story building in Dubai. a 151-story building in Inchon,

Your blessing has made us neither a tower of economy nor tower of Babel.

You have transformed this peninsular Korea into a tower of blessing,

Early morning prayer in Korean churches is as vital as an artery is to the heart.

Many Korean churches now have to expend and build again
due to the congregations' growth. 기인하여

Only Korean churches pray when they gather and evangelize when they scatter.
모이면 기도를 하고 흩어지면 전도를 하는 교회는 한국 교회 밖에는 어디에도 없습니다.
My Lord God, You have blessed and anointed Your servant 대문자=하나님

as the leader and president of this nation, as You appointed Joseph
이 나라의 지도자, 대통령으로 세우시고

to a legilation, jutice, administration, education, politics, economy, society,
입법, 사법, 행정, 교육, 정치, 경제 ,사회,
finance, welfare, diplomacy, athletics, military affairs.
금융, 복지, 외교, 체육, 군사 등 각 분야에 일을 맡기셨나이다.
But even with Your blessing , we have spent 60 years with our nation divided.
그러나 주의 축복이 있음에도 우리는 나누어진 채로 60년의 긴 세월을 보냈습니다.

Our warm-hearted provisions, medicines, agricultural machines and implements
따뜻한 마음으로 식량, 의약품, 농기구를 보냈습니다만

God's priestly nation, there is bad blood between our North and South brothers

My Lord, grant permission that we peacefully unify our great land. 접속사

Your Divine favor to unite us has not yet come to our divided country.

We long to embrace one another and dance the dance that only unify can bring.
오직 통일만 된다면 우리는 서로 얼싸안고 춤추고 싶습니다.
